Your Training Path in Athens

Structured rhinoplasty training in an official ERM – EAFPS center with real surgical exposure and tutor-based guidance.

Training in Athens with Dr George Mireas is designed for surgeons who want meaningful exposure to contemporary rhinoplasty within an active clinical and operative environment rather than a purely observational experience.

The pathway combines case-based learning, live surgery, planning, technique analysis and progressive understanding of primary and revision rhinoplasty under an approved ERM – EAFPS tutor.

What Training in Athens Looks Like

The Athens ERM training pathway is centered on real rhinoplasty practice. Scholars are exposed to the full logic of case assessment, preoperative planning, intraoperative strategy and postoperative thinking within an active surgical environment.

Training takes place mainly at Mediterraneo Hospital and Therapis Hospital, where Dr George Mireas performs approximately 150 rhinoplasties per year, including both primary and revision cases.

The aim is not only to observe surgery, but to understand how modern rhinoplasty is planned, executed and evaluated across a wide range of cases and techniques.

The Clinical Learning Path

1. Consultation & Analysis

Exposure begins with patient evaluation, anatomical assessment, indication setting and discussion of realistic surgical goals.

2. Planning & Simulation

Scholars observe how digital planning, 3D simulation and structural analysis guide operative strategy before surgery.

3. Intraoperative Strategy

Live surgery reveals how approach selection, grafting, powered instrumentation and soft tissue management are applied in practice.

4. Postoperative Thinking

Follow-up and outcome assessment help scholars understand healing, refinement and long-term evaluation of rhinoplasty results.

Planning, Technology & Surgical Thinking

Contemporary rhinoplasty training should reflect contemporary practice. The Athens center incorporates Vectra 3D simulation, ultrasonic piezo, powered burrs and advanced grafting strategies into everyday rhinoplasty planning and execution.

Scholars gain insight into how these tools are used not as isolated technologies, but as part of a broader decision-making system based on anatomy, indication and case complexity.

Complex Revisions

Major revision cases may involve rib grafts and advanced reconstructive planning.

Cartilage Grafting

Auricular cartilage grafting is part of the structural toolkit demonstrated in selected cases.

What Makes This Training Path Distinct

High-Volume Practice

A consistent annual rhinoplasty volume allows exposure to broad case diversity instead of isolated surgical examples.

Modern Technique Spectrum

Open and closed rhinoplasty, preservation and structural methods, as well as primary and revision surgery, are all represented.

Official ERM Alignment

Training is delivered within an approved ERM – EAFPS framework, under an official tutor and training center structure.
