Eligibility & Requirements
The European Rhinoplasty Masterclass is designed for specialists who wish to pursue serious, tutor-based education in rhinoplasty under the framework of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery.
Participation requires the appropriate surgical background, commitment to the educational process and alignment with the academic and practical requirements of the ERM – EAFPS pathway.
Who the ERM Is Intended For
According to the ERM – EAFPS framework, the program is intended for medical specialists who have completed formal residency training and wish to undertake a structured pathway in rhinoplasty through approved tutors and official educational requirements.
The pathway is not designed for casual observers or short-term visitors without a relevant surgical background. It is aimed at surgeons who want meaningful educational development in modern rhinoplasty and who are prepared to commit to a serious, documented training process.
Scholars should also be prepared for a program that combines surgical exposure, academic participation, case documentation and final assessment rather than simple attendance alone.
Core Requirement
Specialty background:
ENT – Head & Neck Surgery or Plastic Surgery
Status:
Completed residency and certified by the relevant board or authority

Willingness to follow the full ERM educational framework

What Is Expected from Scholars
Scholars are expected to approach the ERM with seriousness, professionalism and a genuine interest in developing surgical judgment in rhinoplasty.
This includes active participation in training, engagement with case discussions, attendance at required components and respect for the structured educational nature of the program.
Professional Fit
The ERM is best suited for surgeons who are not only technically interested in rhinoplasty, but who also value anatomy, planning, long-term outcomes and critical surgical thinking.
The pathway is especially relevant for those who want to build a more structured and academically grounded relationship with rhinoplasty as a subspecialty focus.
Practical Considerations
Time Commitment
Scholars should be able to dedicate the required training time according to the ERM structure and tutor-based plan.
Documentation
Participation in the ERM involves documentation, including the scholar CV, logbook elements and other required submissions.
Final Assessment
Completion of the pathway involves progression toward the formal certification and examination process defined by EAFPS.
Eligibility in Relation to the Athens Center
Surgeons considering the Athens ERM center should be ready for exposure to a busy rhinoplasty practice involving both primary and revision cases, modern powered instrumentation, grafting techniques and case-based tutor discussion.
This makes the Athens pathway especially suitable for participants who want a serious and practically relevant educational experience rather than minimal observational exposure.
